چکیده

• -Baker's yeast wastewater is among the severe environmental threat with 29000 mg/L COD. - M. indicus , hiemalis N. intermedia and A. oryzae were grown on wastewater. Fungi reduced total COD of by 36.3%. Fungal biomass has valuable amino acids minerals for aquaculture feed. The effluent remained was anaerobically digested to biogas further remove Baker's production industry generates large quantities high chemical oxygen demand (COD) integration baker's (BYW) an innovative two-step waste biorefinery process producing protein-rich fungal along nutrients removal main object present research. In first step, from BYW investigated using four species filamentous fungi. maximum yield 5.13 g/L containing 43.8% mycoprotein 36.3% achieved . second produce organic matter, fermentation subjected anaerobic digestion between 22.4 44.2% obtained. Overall, 1 m 3 yielded kg 1.42 methane. Additionally, pigment investigated, 1.54 mg carotenoids/g produced.

Integrated Process for Ethanol, Biogas, and Edible Filamentous Fungi-Based Animal Feed Production from Dilute Phosphoric Acid-Pretreated Wheat Straw

Integration of wheat straw for a biorefinery-based energy generation process by producing ethanol and biogas together with the production of high-protein fungal biomass (suitable for feed application) was the main focus of the present study. An edible ascomycete fungal strain Neurospora intermedia was used for the ethanol fermentation and subsequent biomass production from dilute phosphoric aci...

Kinetics Studies Impact of Initial pH and Addition of Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae on Biogas Production from Tofu Wastewater in Indonesia

The purpose of this work was to study the effect of initial pH and yeast Saccharomyces Cerevisiae on biogas production from tofu wastewater (TW). The initial pH was varied in ranging of 5 – 9 in substrate without yeast (T5-T9) and with yeast (TY5-TY9). The results showed that optimum initial pH was 8. The maximum biogas was resulted in T8 (275 mL) and TY8 (421 mL). Yeast addition increased tota...

Screening of Lovastatin Production by Filamentous Fungi

In the present study, 110 fungal strains of Persian Type Culture Collection (PTCC) including some selected strains isolated in various screening projects were tested for their potentiality to produce lovastatin, a competitive inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase (HMG-CoA reduc-tase), the rate-limiting enzyme of cholesterol biosynthesis. The fungal strains were cultivated in a t...

Optimization of Biogas Production Process in a Wastewater Treatment Plant

Sludge is a byproduct of wastewater processing suitable for biogas production. The biogas consisting of about 60% methane can be used to generate electricity and heat. A data-driven approach for optimization of biogas production process in a wastewater treatment plant is presented. The process model is developed using routinely collected data categorized as controllable and uncontrollable varia...

Filamentous fungi as cell factories for heterologous protein production.

Filamentous fungi have been used as sources of metabolites and enzymes for centuries. For about two decades, molecular genetic tools have enabled us to use these organisms to express extra copies of both endogenous and exogenous genes. This review of current practice reveals that molecular tools have enabled several new developments. But it has been process development that has driven the final...
